modèles expérimentaux des infections du système nerveux central
Event Description
Infections of the central nervous system are associate with substantial mortality and morbidity. Knowledge of pathogenesis will allow identification of therapeutic targets for future clinical management. This knowledge needs to be generated in model systems of brain infections. The course, organized by the ESCMID Study Group for Infections of the Brain (ESGIB) together with the Société de Pathologie Infectieuse de Langue Française (SPILF), has the objective to provide knowledge on model systems of brain infections to both young and established researchers with interactive sessions, methodological based workshops and structured discussions among the participants.
Intended audience:
Graduate and Postgraduate Students and Researchers interested or involved in the study of experimental infections of the brain.
Objectives:
- Explore the spectrum of experimental disease models of brain infections.
- Understand the process of experimental setup, including planning and procedures.
- Engage in methodological workshops and discussions to enhance understanding of methodological approaches.
- Develop qualifications to optimize study designs and evaluate experimental models.
